We invite individual researchers jointly with a selected host institution to submit applications in the call announced by the European Commission under the Maria Skłodowska-Curie Actions: Individual Fellowhips.

Programme description

Projects can be implemented by an experienced researcher jointly with a selected host organization (e.g. university, research institute, international organization, but also the economic sector: enterprise, SME, hospital, museum, bank, NGO).
The project offers the employment of an experienced researcher (Experienced Researcher – ER) of any nationality awho meets two formal criteria:

  1. has at least 4 years of experience in conducting scientific research: from the moment of obtaining a master’s degree or equivalent, allowing the opening of the doctoral dissertation in the country in which the title was awarded or in the host country;
  2. meets the requirement of mobility, i.e. has not been in the host organization’s country for more than 12 months in the last 3 years (or for more than 36 months in the last 5 years – depending on the type of project).

The project can last from 1 to 3 years (depending on the type of project), which means employing an experienced researcher for this period by the host organization, with possible secondment to partner organizations in other countries for a maximum period of half a year.

Types of projects:
Global Fellowships, lasting 1-3 years, in which an experienced scientist selects two host organizations (one in Europe and one outside Europe) and which allows the implementation of the project outside Europe for a period of 1-2 years, and then mandatory in Europe (or associated country) for another 1 year.
European Fellowships, lasting 1-2 years, implemented in Europe (or the country associated with H2020), in which three additional subtypes are distinguished:
o Career Restart Panel, which can last 1-3 years, intended for people who return to scientific work after at least a 12-month break in the last 18 months;
o Society & Enterprise Panel, for people whose host organization represents the non-academic sector;
o Reintegration Panel, for people who return to Europe (or an associated country) from the so-called a third country to conduct research.
