We remind you about the deadline for submitting applications under the International Visegrad Fund. The deadline lasts in June 1st, 2021.

Programme description

The programme includes the following types of grants:

  • Visegrad Grants

As a rule, your project must be implemented by at least three organizations (including the applicant) from three different V4 countries (“3xV4” rule).

Maximum duration of project implementation is 18 months.

Projects must address at least one of the objectives of the grant program´s seven focus areas:

1. Culture and Common Identity
2. Education and Capacity Building
3. Innovation, R&D, Entrepreneurship
4. Democratic Values a Projects must develop meaningful cooperation and active participation of organizations from nd the Media
5. Public Policy and Institutional Partnership
6. Regional Development, Environment and Tourism
7. Social Development

  • Visegrad+ Grants

Projects must develop meaningful cooperation and active participation of organizations from at least 3 organizations from 3 different V4 countries AND at least 1 organization from Western Balkan countries : Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia OR Eastern Partnership countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine.

Maximum duration of project implementation is 18 months.

  • Strategic Grants

In case of Strategic Grants, the applicant must ensure the active participation of organizations from all V4 countries (at least one organization from each Visegrad country). As opposed to other grant schemes, Strategic Grants projects must have a minimum implementation period of 12 months. Application must be related to one of three following strategic priorities :

1. Returning to the roots
2. Small things matter
3. 30 years after the fall of the Iron Curtain – civil society matters

All grants have fixed application deadlines – February 1, June 1 and October 1.

Co-financing can cover 100% of the project budget using 15% of the overall costs. More information on the fund’s homepage:

Amount of contribution

Visegrad Grants have two financial categories: up to EUR 6,000 and from EUR 6001 (applies to Strategic Grants)

Types of eligible costs

Eligible costs: 

  1. Printing and publishing
  2. Rent and related technical services
  3. Expert fees/Fees for authors or artists
  4. Accommodation and board
  5. Transportation and delivery
  6. Translation and interpreting costs
  7. Awards and prizes

Grants can cover up to 100% of project budget with 15% for overheads.
