We are pleased to inform about the success of prof. dr hab. Patryk Oleszczuk in the ULAM programme dedicated to foreign scholars. Dr. Sajjad Abbasi from the University of Shiraz (Iran) will come to UMCS for a one-year postdoctoral fellowship.
Research carried out by Dr. Abbasi in collaboration with prof. Oleszczuk and his research group will focus on the impact of plastics on the transport of organic and inorganic pollutants in soil and the associated environmental consequences.
In the second edition of the Ulam Programme, 76 scientists have been awarded scholarships. They will commence their research stays at Polish universities and scientific institutes from January 2021.
