Description of the project

The main objective of the project is to analyze achievements in the field of innovative teaching, ICT and e-learning with the Belgian and Polish sides, examine the currentsituation connected with innovative methods of teaching in both cases, interviews and surveys in this field in students and lecturers environment in Belgium and Poland and finally writing courses (MOOC), articles and e-book about innovative methods of teaching, ICT and e-learning.

The adopted methodology of research used by will be in-depthinterviews, focus group interviews, as well as computer-aided surveys. In addition, lectures observations were included. The project aims is to strengthen the position ofinnovative teaching at both universities (especially in the aspect of scientific research). During the project implementation scientific articles will be published in leading Polishand English language journals, as well as - in open access - an e-book, financed by the Faculty of Political Science and Journalism Maria Curie Sklodowska University.

The scope of cooperation would include joint research on innovative education methods, ICT and e-learning, including in-depth interviews and surveys among students andlecturers in Belgium and Poland, focus group interviews, lectures observations, scientific seminars in both countries, joint elaboration of e-book, work on joint analyses,exchange on innovative devices integrating digital education, publishing articles together in journals, presenting the results of research.

Thanks to the English-languagepublications, it will be possible to make research available to all interested sides. Appropriate use of ICT and e-learning in education is very important for improving the qualityof education at all levels. The partners' planned activities is to present educational measures integrating augmented reality, podcasts, e-books, social networks and artificialintelligence, work on activities to implement digital skills for children aged 3 to 15 and university teachers and students and to work on a common MOOC related to thesethemes.

The project provides two visits of guests from Belgium to Poland and two Polish visits in Belgium. During the first stays will be: lectures observation, familiarization withtechnological advancement in e-learning at Université de Mons/UMCS, surveys conducted with students who are already learning in the e-learning and blended learningsystem and in-depth interviews with lecturers introducing modern technologies are planned their classes and focus group interviews.

During the second trip we envisage ajoint seminars summarizing the results of previous studies and additional observation of lectures during which the most advanced blended learning is implemented. In addition,joint e-learning courses for teachers and lecturers in the field of ICT and innovative education will be developed, and subsequent versions of the e-book devoted to the resultsof the project will be presented.
